Go, le Grand défi is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage young people to adopt healthy life habits.
More specifically, the organization aims to engage Quebec schools in supporting physical activity and healthy eating among children aged 6 to 12 years old. Its purpose is to bring children to choose healthier habits in their everyday life, so that these habits may become the norm for future generations. It also seeks to raise parents’ awareness of the importance of physical activity and healthy eating for their children’s health and, of course, for their own health.
In order to reach this objective, Go, le Grand défi launched the largest health-related event to ever be organized in the province, the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie, which kicked off in November 2008.
